Marcum LLP Presents $80,000 to Charity Beneficiaries of the 2013 Marcum Workplace Challenge
New York City, NY — Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory firm, presented $80,000 to three Long Island charity beneficiaries of the 2013 Marcum Workplace Challenge, an annual run-walk fundraiser at Jones Beach State Park. The check was presented by Carolyn Mazzenga, Partner-in-Charge of Marcum’s Melville office.
Held on July 30, over 8,400 runners and walkers from 211 Long Island companies and organizations participated in this year’s event, establishing the Marcum Workplace Challenge as the largest event of its kind in the region. The event also serves as a massive summer picnic for the companies, organizations and government agencies that field teams. Over $380,000 has been raised by the Marcum Workplace Challenge to date. The event is operated by the Greater Long Island Running Club.
