Marcum LLP's Nanette Lee Miller Named One of Bay Area's Most Influential Women
New York City, NY – Nanette Lee Miller, CPA, West Coast Partner-in-Charge of Assurance Services at accounting firm Marcum LLP and Co-Leader of the Firm’s national LGBT & Non-Traditional Family Practice Group, has been named one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business by the San Francisco Business Times. It is the second time Ms. Miller has been distinguished by the publication as a business leader in the region.
Based in Marcum’s San Francisco office, Ms. Miller has more than 30 years’ experience in public accounting and provides assurance, accounting and business consulting services to publicly and privately held businesses, as well as not-for-profit organizations. She is a trusted business advisor to manufacturing, distribution, retail and professional services companies in diverse industries, including finance, healthcare, not-for-profit and technology.
In 2012, Ms. Miller founded Marcum’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Practice, the first dedicated to the unique tax and estate planning needs of the LGBT community by a national accounting firm. She is widely regarded as a foremost expert in this area, and is frequently sought for speaking engagements and media interviews on the topic. In addition to her Assurance and LGBT oversight responsibilities, she is also a member of Marcum’s National Technology Assurance and Healthcare Industry Practice groups.
Ms. Miller was the 2010 recipient of the AICPA/CalCPA Women to Watch – Experienced Leader Award.
