New York City, NY – Marcum LLP continued its growth trend in net new SEC clients in 2016. The national accounting and advisory firm completed the year with 10 net new SEC clients, making it one of the two top-finishers for the 12-month period. According to Audit Analytics, Marcum was the fastest growing firm by a significant margin once the totals are adjusted for firm mergers and acquisitions.
The annual result capped a strong year for Marcum, which outperformed the accounting industry in both net new SEC clients and IPO market share in the first half of 2016. The third quarter was also a stand-out, with Marcum retaining its lead in IPO market share.
The Firm’s 2016 showing continued the momentum that Marcum’s SEC Services Practice group experienced in 2015, when Marcum was the only accounting firm in the U.S. to register four consecutive quarters of growth.
