About Jewel

Jewel is a partner in the Firm’s Managed Accounting Services department. She’s a results-oriented executive with 22 years of experience providing accounting services to the nonprofit industry. In addition to directing outsourced engagements, Jewel provides consulting and business advisory services, including assessing business processes for effectiveness and efficiency, financial modeling and forecasting, financial statement and budget review and analysis, development of organizational and project budgets, preparation of financial statements, and the design of proper charts of account structures and custom reports.

Prior to joining the practice group in early 2017, Jewel was a senior manager with a “Big Four” accounting firm where she worked with a variety of nonprofit entities including government contractors, quasi-governmental, higher education, healthcare, research and development, member organizations, and pharmaceutical companies. Her experience has included analyzing the adequacy of client internal control structures and making recommendations for operational improvements and efficiencies. Previously, Jewel spent seven years in accounting with one of the nation’s oldest nonprofit management consulting firms.

Jewel is a strong leader and team builder with excellent communication skills. She fosters an atmosphere that encourages staff and commits people to action while producing maximum results. She holds a BS in Accounting from Liberty University and is a licensed CPA, as well as a member of the AICPA.
