About Pietro

Pietro LaPorta is an assurance partner and member of the Firm’s Capital Markets Practice Group, providing financial statement audits and quarterly review services primarily to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants. Over his career, he has managed business relationships, coordinated audit engagements, prepared budgets, developed tailored audit programs, and reviewed work papers.

His experience also includes revenue recognition, purchase accounting, share-based compensation, complex debt transactions, and derivatives. Pietro brings hands-on experience in dealing with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), SEC, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) requirements while serving large multinational, middle-market, and venture capital clients. Additionally, he has been responsible for the research and resolution of SEC issues, coordination with internal audit departments, and compliance of the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 standard.

Pietro’s core strengths and accomplishments also include leading various public company audits (including Fortune 100 multinational entities), coordinating with various international offices simultaneously, and helping companies raise capital through the public and private markets.
