About Tod

Tod Edgecomb is a partner in the Firm’s Financial Accounting and Advisory services (FAAS) practice. He has over 25 years of experience in both public accounting and private industry. His experience includes the life science, manufacturing, high-tech, and consumer product industries. In his current role, he provides services to both public and private companies.

Tod’s technical expertise has been focused on debt vs. equity analysis, business combinations, the adoption of the new lease standard, impairment of goodwill and long-lived assets, stock compensation, and revenue recognition. He has worked with companies through the initial public offering process and provided subsequent SEC reporting. He has also assisted with mergers & acquisitions in a variety of situations, including buy-side and sell-side support, purchase price allocations, and post integration matters.

Prior to joining Marcum, Tod spent several years working with “Big Four” and large regional firms, serving both middle-market and large, publicly traded clients, reporting under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Much of his work encompassed reporting for overseas subsidiaries in Ireland, UK, Australia, Germany, China, Brazil, Switzerland, Thailand, and Canada. His roles also included: an assistant controller at a technology and finance company in South Portland, Maine where he was involved in internal and external reporting, improving internal controls and special projects, including the start-up of a bank in Utah and the analysis of a potential receivable securitization program.
