About Daniel
Daniel M. Kane is an Assurance Services director in the Firm’s Boston, Massachusetts, office. Mr. Kane joined Marcum LLP in 2019 via the merger of Guyder Hurley, P.C. into Marcum’s New England Region. His significant experience includes audits of public housing authorities, HUD multi-family projects, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit developments. His experience includes a combination of both private company and public accounting.
Mr. Kane works with a group professionals who specialize in the areas of affordable housing, including associates with certifications in procurement standards for public housing authorities and the Housing Choice Voucher and Low Rent Public Housing programs. He has extensive Uniform Guidance experience, testing for compliance HUD grants, and federally and state funded capital loan programs. In addition, Mr. Kane provides accounting and consulting services to public housing authorities including preparation of the Financial Data Schedule required by REAC, VMS reporting and RAD conversion accounting.
