About Helen

Helen Feliz is a director in Marcum’s Assurance Services Group and has more than a decade of experience in public accounting.

Helen manages various planning phases of engagements and ensures the firm’s work is on schedule. She reviews and evaluates financial statements and other workpapers to determine their compliance with professional standards and firm policy. She also works closely with partners to identify significant findings and address questions concerning firm policy and auditing standards.

Helen develops and trains staff professionals and remains current with new accounting pronouncements.

Helen began her career at a local public accounting firm focusing on internal and external audits for financial institutions. She then transitioned to working in risk management at a local community bank where she managed outsourced audit functions as well as the bank’s allowance for loans and lease losses (“ALLL”) calculations. Helen returned to public accounting to assist financial industry clients, including institutions and broker dealers, by providing external audit and consulting services.
