About Isabelle

Isabelle Bordas is the New York office’s financial accounting and advisory services (FAAS) leader. She has more than 20 years of accounting and reporting experience, advising CFOs, CAOs, and controllers. Bordas helps them navigate their most complex challenges, such as going public (i.e., form S-1), implementing accounting standards, optimizing the close process, converting to IFRS, solving and operationalizing technical accounting issues, and enhancing the internal control environment.

Her technical expertise includes USGAAP, IFRS, internal controls (SOX), and SEC reporting (10-K, 20-F). She has provided services to both private and public companies with a particular focus on the consumer products, technology, media, and manufacturing industries. Her audit and advisory experience, coupled with her collaborative approach with clients, allow her to build tailor-made solutions that fit the need of the company and respond to the expectation of its auditors.

Prior to joining Marcum, Bordas was a partner at a big four accounting firm where she led the reporting offering for their advisory function (which includes IFRS and SEC services, and global statutory reporting).

She frequently speaks at conferences on such topics as accounting and reporting transformation, and technology enablement. She is fluent in English and French (her native language) and is a CPA licensed in New York.
