About Lori

Lori Schneider is a Quality Control partner in the Assurance Services Division of Marcum in its Melville, NY office, where she assists in implementing auditing and accounting requirements. She has in-depth knowledge of the audit cycle including planning, risk assessment, internal controls, and using planning to drive audit efficiency. In addition, she has significant experience in auditing cultural organizations with large endowments and investments.

Lori has spent over 25 years providing auditing services to nonprofit and governmental entities both in public accounting and the public sector. Over the past 10 years, she has also served in leadership roles ensuring compliance with both auditing standards and generally accepted accounting standards. She has developed and implemented accounting and auditing training for more than 20 years and has been a speaker at events sponsored by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) events.

A CPA who also holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the AICPA, Lori is also a member of the AICPA’s nonprofit group and government audit quality center as well as the PICPA. She is the past Treasurer of the Delaware Society of CPAs and Shanghai American Woman’s Club, and volunteers at Willowdale Chapel.
