About Marius

Marius Mitra is a partner in the Firm’s Technical Review and Quality Control group. He is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Firm’s assurance policies and procedures as well as the Firm’s system of quality and adherence to professional standards.

Marius has over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and regulatory oversight, with an in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and PCAOB audit and related professional practice standards, including extensive experience in SOX 404 related auditing standards. His capabilities cover a variety of industries including banking and other financial services as well private equity. He has honed technical skills in areas including financial instruments and allowances for credit losses, among others. He also has experience with foreign private issuers and applying International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Prior to joining the Firm, Marius worked at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and one of the “Big 4” public accounting firms. He is a graduate Baruch College in New York City where he received his BBA in Accounting.
