Marcum LLP Announces the Inaugural Marcum Alternative Investment Manager Forum;
New York City, NY – The Alternative Investment Group of Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory services firm, announces the inaugural Marcum Alternative Investment Manager Forum, to take place November 2 in New York City. Co-presented with Cowen Prime Services and Marino Partners LLP, the full-day event will be held at the Convene Conference Center, 730 Third Avenue, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Economist and commentator Lawrence Kudlow will be the keynote speaker.
The Marcum Alternative Investment Manager Forum is designed to educate fund managers on the verge of SEC registration about how to institutionalize their businesses and attract investors. The agenda will include expert panels moderated by industry leaders, with a focus on educating managers about formalizing their processes, properly structuring their operations, and fostering growth and business continuity. Managers will also have the opportunity to network with the industry.
“We created the Marcum Alternative Investment Manager Forum to educate funds approaching the threshold for SEC registration about how to prepare for the more rigorous environment they will soon be operating in,” said Alternative Investment Group Partner Dennis J. Schall, the conference organizer. “We designed panels that address four specific areas that will be new terrain for these funds, including operational and compliance requirements, what kinds of technology systems and cybersecurity protocols investors will be looking for, how to market to investors, and how to effectively utilize service providers. It will be a full day of learning and networking specifically geared to small but growing funds on the verge of SEC registration.” Marcum is ranked as a Top 5 hedge fund service provider by Institutional Investor’s Alpha Awards.
