Regardless of the case facts, certain steps/thought processes are extremely similar while other portions of the engagement are markedly different. As a consequence, I have come to appreciate a seeming contradiction: all damage analyses are simultaneously the same and different. Perhaps “analogous” is a more appropriate term.
