About Ali

Ali Hirji is a partner in the Family Wealth Services Group of the Firm’s New York City office. He provides significant tax consulting and compliance services for high net worth individuals and middle market business owners.

Mr. Hirji’s expertise spans the various facets of high net worth taxation including, but not limited to Individual, pass-through entities, and private foundations. Utilizing this expertise, he is involved in extensive tax planning and compliance and serves as a trusted advisor for his clients.

Mr. Hirji blends his tax expertise with his passion for personal financial planning, including, but not limited to, retirement planning and asset preservation. He is leading the Firm’s initiatives in this area, recently helping to launch the Personal Financial Management service line.

Mr. Hirji began his professional accounting career at a Big 4 firm, in their audit division. Since joining Marcum’s Family Wealth Services Group in 2012, Mr. Hirji has successfully obtained his Masters in Taxation at SUNY Old Westbury, graduating with the highest individual honors.

In addition, as a public speaker, Mr. Hirji lectures on individual taxation compliance and planning, as well as personal financial topics, including charitable giving and retirement planning. He also leads internal tax-related sessions at the Firm.
