Jodi Lauron is a partner in Marcum’s Alternative Investment Group, responsible for advising clients on the formation and operation of investment funds. She specializes in financial statement audit engagements of funds and investment advisors, as well as custody and performance examinations. Ms. Lauron provides guidance on fair value measurements, revenue recognition, and financial reporting matters, advising clients from the start-up phase through the life of the fund.
Ms. Lauron assists in the Firm’s Alternative Investment Group’s administration and policy setting and co-heads the Group’s training program. She develops the program’s curriculum and serves as an instructor. She also assists the Firm with its recruitment efforts.
With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Lauron began her career at regional and national accounting firms before becoming controller of a hedge fund. She’s been with Marcum’s Alternative Investment Group for nearly 15 years.
