About Myunghee
Myunghee Geerts is a director in the Tax & Business Services Division of Marcum’s Philadelphia office, where she specializes in Research and Development Tax Credit services. She has more than 15 years of experience in tax credits, incentives, and tax planning, across a variety of industries including bioscience, manufacturing, software and technology. Myunghee has provided her clients with numerous tax planning ideas and solutions, including tax consulting services with respect to the R&D tax credits, change of accounting methods, revenue recognition, and Opportunity Zone Incentives.
Myunghee is frequently a featured speaker on R&D tax credits and other tax planning ideas at workshops and conferences. Also, she performed technical reviews of the proposed federal R&D credit tax legislation and provided recommendations to Senator Coons Office.
In 2020, she was honored as one of Delaware Today Magazine’s 2020 Women in Business.
Before joining the firm, she was a director at a Delaware accounting firm, leading its consulting service line, and a senior manager specializing in tax credits and incentives at a big four accounting firm.
