About Krislyn

Krislyn Songco is a director in the Firm’s Financial Accounting and Advisory (FAAS) services practice. She has more than 10 years of experience in both Assurance and Accounting/Consulting services, working with clients in various industries including manufacturing and distribution, retail, healthcare, life sciences, real estate, emerging business/start-ups, and nonprofits.

Krislyn manages a team of bookkeepers, accounting managers and controllers and is knowledgeable in all aspects of the back-office/accounting operations, account reconciliations and preparation of internal financial reports and accompanying accounting schedules and management analysis.

Krislyn also performs consulting work for clients including review of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports, interim controllership work, month-end close procedures, budgeting & forecasting, acting as a liaison with clients’ auditors and tax professionals, assistance with software implementation or migration using common accounting software systems. Krislyn is likewise involved in other special projects such as accounting workflow evaluation and process improvements and Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) forgiveness work and employee retention credit calculations.

Prior to joining Marcum, Krislyn performed audits for public, private and not-for-profit entities. Krislyn supervised a team and is involved in the planning, execution and deliverables on audit engagements.
