Sungjoo Hong is a Marcum tax partner. Sungjoo specializes in serving high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and family offices in all aspects of financial strategy and administration, including the preparation and review of complex tax returns. Sungjoo often contributes his financial insights as a member of client teams that include attorneys, bankers, and other specialized professionals. He routinely manages the preparation and review of returns for individuals, trusts and estates, partnerships, corporations, and private foundations. Sungjoo is well-versed in the nuances of the tax code that apply in the contexts of his client’s industries, including financial services, law, investment banking, and real estate, among others.

Prior to joining Marcum, Sungjoo worked in tax roles at several regional and national firms, including a member of the Big 4, and at the family office for a prominent hedge fund manager. He is fluent in Korean.
